Photographer Edward Hermans organized a successful solo exhibition at La Vie DePastorie. He frequently works with the movement of professional dancers, capturing them through his camera lens with great sensitivity. The works he created at La Vie DePastorie formed the basis of his book Meraki and were successfully presented with positive feedback at a special exhibition on 21 and 22 March on the first floor of the building. “He does not try to control light, but gives it freedom — the same freedom he grants to his subjects. As a result, an interaction of elements emerges that cannot exist separately; images that reveal life in all its strength, vulnerability, and constant movement.” — Diemer Nieuws The exhibition features 43 photographic works by Edward Hermans depicting dancers. Ten of them were created in close collaboration with Vlad and Veronika. Edward Hermans paid attention to their story and to the n’Era Foundation, and as a result of the exhibition, a donation of €2,100 was made in support of their artistic work.
