Haka is a short dance work inspired by the Māori tradition of haka, its rhythmic force, collective energy, and powerful physical expression.

The piece is a bold expression of the profound connection between human beings and nature, and of the primal energy embodied in movement. Through rhythm, breath, and physical impulse, the choreography evokes a sense of ancient power and spiritual unity, creating an intense stage space charged with presence and collective energy.

Haka was originally created for dancers of the United Ukrainian Ballet. The work premiered at the Royal Theater Carré in Amsterdam as part of a gala performance by former Dutch National Ballet principal Igone de Jongh.
